~5.18: The Bacon's Rebellion was a moment that laid a bit of fondation for separation among classes and especially races
~6.15: Morrison layered the chapters. Wanted Florens to be on an important urgent journey while revealing herself to the reader. The surrounding chapeter were 3rd person to show a straight path towards the end while leading you astray with important details on the charecters.
~8.15: SHe showed the fondation of American individualism and the dangers that come along with it, and that there is a need for a community or a sense of belonging
~8.43: There is no one outside thing that holds the people on the Vaark's land together. No race, no religion, nothing in common. This is why it can not work.
